Terms and conditions
These terms apply to every booking made through Kawakari, whether as a guest or with an account.
This is a working draft prepared for launch preparation. It must be reviewed by a qualified Nigerian lawyer before Kawakari accepts live payments.
1. Who we are
Kawakari is operated by Kawakari Limited, a company registered in Nigeria. Our registered address and company number are published on this site before we begin accepting live payments.
In these terms, “we” and “Kawakari” mean Kawakari Limited, and “you” means the person making or travelling on a booking.
2. The service
Kawakari arranges pre-booked chauffeur-driven vehicles for arrivals and departures at Murtala Muhammed International Airport (Lagos) and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (Abuja).
A booking reserves a vehicle of the category you select, together with a driver, for the number of hours you book. It does not reserve a specific vehicle model or a specific driver unless we confirm otherwise in writing.
3. Bookings and quotes
The price shown before you confirm is the hourly rate for your chosen category multiplied by the hours booked, subject to a minimum booking duration published on the booking page.
A booking is a request until we confirm it. We may decline a booking where we cannot source a suitable vehicle, where airport access is restricted, or where we reasonably believe the request is fraudulent.
Prices are quoted and charged in the currency you select. We do not convert between naira and dollars.
4. Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate contact details, an accurate pickup or drop-off address, and, where applicable, your flight number. We are not responsible for a failed pickup caused by inaccurate information.
Passengers must comply with Nigerian law, airport regulations and reasonable instructions from the driver. Smoking and the carriage of prohibited items are not permitted in our vehicles.
5. Airport access
Access to airport arrivals areas in Nigeria is controlled by the airport authorities and their accredited schemes. The meeting point for your booking is confirmed on your booking record and may change to comply with those rules.
6. Payment
Payment is taken through our payment provider. Kawakari does not collect or store card details on this website.
Additional charges may apply for waiting time beyond the allowance, extended hours, cleaning of soiled vehicles, or tolls and parking incurred at your request.
7. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. We are not liable for missed flights, missed connections or consequential loss arising from traffic, weather, airport restrictions or other events outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version published when you make a booking governs that booking.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Nigerian courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
